I'm going to be creating an art project based on the question "Beauty is...". I want to represent the perspective of real people dealing with finding their own definition of beauty. Personally as a teenage girl I have been struggling finding a concrete vision or even a solid idea of what I think it should be. I find myself drowning sometimes since this beauty thing is bombarding us from every angle. I have to constantly reevaluate myself and build up my self image again. I want this to bring the power back to the players by letting them define their own version of beauty, one that conforms to them...rather than forcing them to bend into some mold.
So here's the challenge:
Post positive (or honest (however you translate "honest" is up to you)) words, phrases, thoughts that reflect how you feel about your personal self image and or beauty itself.
Or if you want, post whatever you want regarding your thoughts on beauty.

beauty and being a babe is all about doing what you love and being yourself, and not caring what anyone else thinks.
Beauty is love. It could be love for a spouse, a parent, a child, a friend, a pet, or just the world in general. It's all a form of love. That wonderful feeling that doesn't just make things okay, it makes them RIGHT. That's what I think beauty is.

Beauty is hidden in many ways, and until you can accept yourself as the beautiful person you are,only then can you start to help others realize how beautiful they are as well.

When people put us down for our looks, we shouldn't care, because our looks don't show who we truly are. We also shouldn't care about other's looks, either, because they don't show true people. Looks are more like a mask that covers and disguises people for better or for worse. The true beauty is inside.
Beauty is something that is found. Not applied, or won, or worked for. It just is. And it's something you look for in yourself and in others. It's not going to pop out of a mirror and say, "Here I am!" And if you think true beauty can be seen through carnal eyes then you're deeply confused.
